There are two main ways how to add our software to PC autostart:
- Add it to the Startup folder
- Add registry record
The first way is to create a link to your Cattr installation. You can do it via CMD or PowerShell:
CMD way: mklink "%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Cattr.lnk" "PLACE_WHERE_YOU_HAVE_CATTR_EXE"
PowerShell way: $s=(New-Object -COM WScript.Shell).CreateShortcut('%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Cattr.lnk');$s.TargetPath='PLACE_WHERE_YOU_HAVE_CATTR_EXE';$s.Save()
And the second one is to create a registry record:
At folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
create a new text entry, that contains the path to your Cattr installation. (Including exe file) You can edit the registry via regedit
app, or programmatically - whatever you prefer.
After PC reboot your Cattr will start automatically then.
